Independent living for ageing populations increasingly depends on older people remaining economically productive for longer. To achieve this means improving access to work and the design of the work environment so that the quality of extended working lives can be improved.
i~work is a preparatory network of The New Dynamics of Ageing Programme.
It is using the twin concepts of inclusive design and workability to explore ways to create innovative and efficient tools, systems and spaces for a more flexible and skilled labour force.
