The programme focused on the innovation derived from inclusive design and discussed, debated and explored these innovations in the following sessions:
Design debates
Design Debates discussed current issues in inclusive design and they were debated by invited speakers. Audience participation was encouraged.
Workshops and seminars
Workshops and seminars were delivered by professional designers and academic research groups who were invite by the Include Committee.
Paper sessions
Paper sessions comprised of a keynote presentation followed by three or four oral presentations of papers. All accepted papers for podium presentation are published in the on-line conference proceedings. Abstracts of papers have been published in the conference book of abstracts.
Poster sessions
Poster Sessions comprised of authors presenting posters in relaxed and informal breakout sessions. All accepted papers for poster presentation are published in the on-line conference proceedings. Abstracts of posters have been published in the conference book of abstracts.

In addition to discussion and debate, Include 2009 will include a number of sessions for networking and socialising including:
Registration and opening reception
Registration will opened on the afternoon of Sunday 5 April, and was followed by an opening reception beginning at 6pm. This will provided delegates the opportunity to meet and sign up for workshops and seminars.
Smart Pods private view
A private view of Healthcare On The Move, a major exhibition which is part of the Smart Pods EPSRC funded research, was held on Tuesday 7 April at 6pm.
Gala dinner
A Gala dinner was held on the evening of Monday 6 April for conference delegates and industry representatives. More details here.
