The expert seminar at St Catherine's College, Kobe, Japan, took place from 15-18 January 2010. Its aim was to explore the links between ageing societies and sustainable design and it took the inclusive design of eco-towns as a platform for envisioning future multi-disciplinary research in this area.
Helen Hamlyn Centre director Jeremy Myerson, deputy director Rama Gheerawo and research fellow Jo-Anne Bichard represented the RCA at the seminar, which was funded by a grant from the DAIWA Anglo-Japanese Foundation.
