Rama Gheerawo's promotion to Deputy Director of the Helen Hamlyn Centre reflects his contribution to the development of the centre at the RCA over the past 11 years.
In his new role Rama will continue to lead the Helen Hamlyn Research Associates programme - which has teamed more than 100 College design graduates with industry partners over the past decade - and work closely with the Director on strategy, financial planning, industry liaison and interaction with other external partners.
Rama Gheerawo studied Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College and Industrial Design Engineering at the RCA. He joined the Helen Hamlyn Centre at its inception in January 1999.
