Executive Education in Oslo, 7-8 June 2012

The Norwegian Design Council and the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design ran aninclusive design workshop and professional development experience. Aimed at educators, designers and businesses, it delivered focused teaching and 'take-home' information, as well as practical workshops. This was a unique Executive Education experience covering Products & Services, ICT, and Communication & Marketing, with experts drawn from  industry and academia.

This was an opportunity for designers, marketers, managers and business people: 

  • To learn how Inclusive Design can get you closer to customers and understand their needs and aspirations 
  • To acquire some Executive Education at a fraction of the real cost 
  • To receive course material and a copy of the book Innovating With People - the Business of Inclusive Design 
  • To get an endorsed certificate of attendance from the Norwegian Ministries, Norwegian Design Council and the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design 
  • To learn from experts in sessions looking at how to make products, services, ICT, communication and marketing

From the Centre, Director Jeremy Myerson and Deputy Director Rama Gheerawo were in Oslo as part of the programme were involved in workshop activities. Visiting Senior Research Fellow Julia Cassim flew in from Japan to lead a Design Challenge running alongside the event.
