Nadia joined the RCA in January 2006. She is responsible for managing the College's Intellectual Property through its Selected Works programme, in which selected graduate innovations are commercially developed and licensed. She acts as adviser to the Helen Hamlyn Centre on intellectual property and is Project Manager and Senior Researcher on a number of user-centred inclusive design  development and commercialisation projects.

Nadia has an MBA and a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology. She began her career as a research scientist, studying the genetics and genome of brewing yeast and then plant-pathogen interactions. Nadia later moved into strategic and operational marketing and then business development at Pierce, GE Healthcare Life Sciences and Dutch start-up PamGene. In these roles in Europe and the USA she was directly responsible for new product development, led licensing negotiations, and devised and implemented market strategy and plans.
