Matthew has an MA (2004) in Industrial Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art, and an MEng (2002) in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London.
Since graduating from the Royal College of Art, he has run three inclusive design research projects within the Helen Hamlyn Centre. The first was an investigation into office lighting futures for the ageing workforce in partnership with Thorn Lighting. The second project researched and created inclusive telephony concepts for the digitally excluded in partnership with BT.
Matthew is now part of the Welcoming Workplace project within the centre, and he also runs an industrial design studio based in London with fellow Royal College of Art graduate Cian Plumbe.
