Mark Byrne studied for a BA (Hons) Fine Art Painting at Loughborough College of Art & Design, graduating in 1995. After graduating, his career took a varied path including retail work and clerical roles in the NHS and local government. During that time he continued to follow his passion for fine art and film.
Mark became administrator of the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design in February 2007. In this role, he is responsible for the day-to-day running of the centre, co-ordinating and providing administrative support to its programmes. He has also recently taken on the role as assistant to the Director and Deputy Director.
