Superlik

Team Pismolik

Team leader: Gero Grundmann (studio bec)
Regional leader: Kenan Zekic

Superlik is a new designer goods label developed by the team for Pismolik, a company with 50 years experience of making signs, stamps and graphic products.

Pismolik has a many competitors and receives no support for employing disabled makers who feel unable to fulfill their creative potential because of this. The team set out to change this by studying Pismolik's skills, generating concepts and prototypes for desirable designer goods, minimising waste by using it, and building a brand that the new products can be marketed in Sarajevo and elsewhere.

The team created prototypes for home and work products, fashion items and accessories, many of them from Pismolik's off-cuts of metal and plexiglass. Among them were organic fruit bowls, photo frames, clocks and lamp shades, geometric office trays, pen holders and decorative name signs, as well as a range of contemporary designer T-shirts inspired by Bosnia's crafts tradition.

The new generation of products for the consumer and business market will be sold under the label Superlik. It launches Pismolik's transformation into an inclusive, design-led company, creating highly individual products and forming new networks. The designers have written a set of creative and brand guidelines to make Superlik's success sustainable.
