In 2010, the Research Associates Programme featured 11 collaborative projects led by 13 design graduates of the Royal College of Art, who are working with a range of industry, government and voluntary sector partners.
UK Research Councils as well as our first Fulbright Scholar from the US formed part of the programme. All collaborative projects were co-funded by external partners and the Helen Hamlyn Trust.
The Research Associates developed live industry projects resulting in new thinking, products and services in relation to inclusive design, design for patient safety and workplace design - the three core research themes of the Helen Hamlyn Centre.
The work concluded with a symposium on 28 September 2010 and and exhibition entitled The Lives of Others, ran from 23 September to 7 October 2010.
The Lives of Others, was part of the Royal College of Art's contribution to the London Design Festival 2010. More information here
