Health & Patient Safety Research Lab
A major research effort has gone into helping the NHS understand how to use design more effectively at the organisational level. This work encompasses the original study into design and patient safety commissioned by the Department of Health, a first of its kind internationally, along with a comparable study on the challenge of standardisation facing the UK Ambulance Service. Both studies led to wide-ranging proposals and recommendations that are informing change within the NHS and its supply chain.
