Include

Include is a biennial international conference that focuses on issues central to inclusive and people-centred design.

The first Include conference was held in 2001 and 2013 will be the seventh in the series. Previous themes have explored ways of bringing the inclusive design community together, making the business case for inclusive design, the global perspective of inclusive design for designers, managers and educators, the strategies for involving people in design and innovation through people-centred design.Include is a unique event that brings together those interested in inclusive and people-centred design.

The first six conferences were held at the Royal College of Art, the worlds only wholly post-graduate university of art and design, however Include Asia 2013 will be held in Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Design Centre as part of Knowledge of Design Week 2013. It will draw in new design researchers and practitioners from south-east Asia to the Include network.

Designers, design educators, design researchers, users and industry have attended Include to meet and share ideas, practices and experiences. The Include community initially formed the Include network. However with the arrival of innovative social networking sites, the Include Network has now moved to Linked In and Twitter.
