Matthew White is based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex and working as a Freelance Design Consultant. A majority of his work is contracted to B&Q plc continuing with User Centered Design in the Power Tool, Hand Tool and Marketing areas within the company.
Matthew developed power hand tools during the time he was a Helen Hamlyn Research Associate and continued to work on them as a consultant for B&Q with the result that the Sandbug, a hand-held sander, and Gofer, a small electric screwdriver, are now in production and available at B&Q stores.
Matthew’s activities also include his own product development for the consumer market.
