David Whittle

David Whittle manages the Centre's IT, databases and web sites. Following a varied career in the restaurant business, he gained a BA(Hons) in History and French from Sussex University and an MA in Communications from Goldsmiths' College.

He has worked in the new media since 1995 as a freelance designer and programmer, with long-term contracts at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund and the Anthony Nolan Research Centre. He joined the Helen Hamlyn Research Centre in 1999, and continues to work as an independent consultant and trainer with special interests in information design, web standards and accessibility.
