Rama Gheerawo
Rama Gheerawo is a Research Fellow working with MA students and the Centre's new graduate research programme. He has a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College and an MA in Industrial Design Engineering from the RCA.
Rama has worked in the automotive, product design and civil engineering industries for companies such as the Rover Group, Robert Benaim and Associates and Atlantic Design. He is also design manager of a web and electronic media company based in London.
Aside from design, he has a strong interest in Indian classical music and regularly performs South Indian Classical Vocal. In November 2002 he sang at George Harrison's Memorial Concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
Rama has written a number of academic papers and articles, including a set of ergonomics best practice case studies based on five Millennium Products for the Design Council; a paper for a conference on universal access and assistive technology at Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge; and a paper for a conference on design and emotion at Loughborough University.
