UPS Transport Service Designer: Torkel Döhmers Department: Vehicle Design Joint second prize in the Mobility category This project presents a futuristic concept of United Parcel Service (UPS) as a provider of smart automatic transportation of goods and people. This is realised with a range of vehicles, from automatic goods 'robots' for web-commerce to people-carrying slow-speed pods. It uses GPS (Global Positioning System) and Internet technologies for automatic navigation and easy access. If, as a UPS subscriber, you need to visit colleagues or just go shopping, you just give the website address to the system and it automatically takes you to your destination. The service allows for a more flexible lifestyle..the city structure floats...you can even send your dog.
