Design for our Future Selves Competition 2001

Competition Briefs

  • Brief A: age
    Innovation in the design of a product, imagery, system, service or environment which takes into account the lifestyles, needs and aspirations of older people.
     
  • Brief B: work
    Innovation in the design of a product, imagery, system, service or environment which encourages a healthier work-life balance by supporting new ways of working.
     
  • Brief C: mobility
    Innovation in the design of a product, imagery, system, service or environment which enables greater mobility, freedom and access for people travelling within and between cities.
     
  • Brief D: care
    Innovation in the design of a product, imagery, system, service or environment which responds to the lifestyles, needs and aspirations of young disabled people.
     
  • Communication Art & Design
    A communication project which makes a particular social group or social issue more visible.
     
  • Fashion & Textiles
    A clothing project which responds to the needs of a particular social group who are excluded by the mainstream fashion design process.
