The Contemporary Trends Institute (CTI) monitors socio-economic trends, lifestyle and aesthetic trends in order to understand their implications for marketing and design strategy. The company is staffed by a network of leading trends designers, academics and marketeers.
The CTI offers four services:
Strategic Consultancy. CTI offers advice about design and marketing strategy and brand identity to the manufacturing, service and retail sectors. Clients include Philips Electronics, Nissan, Motorola, Nokia, Comet and D'Arcy.
Training. CTI has teaching partnerships with a number of Europe's leading universities and research centres. Its in-company training courses cover all aspects of design and marketing strategy.
Conferences. CTI organises conferences on issues related to design and marketing strategy. By understanding trends we are able to pinpoint important issues and to develop conferences on those topics. We arrange for leading keynote speakers in each area and, through our professional networks, attract delegates from leading companies, universities and research establishments world-wide. We have three major conferences planned for next year in the UK, USA and Asia Pacific.
Publishing. CTI has recently established an imprint for design books. The intention is to publish relevant works by the world's leading designers and design strategists along with conference proceedings. We see our target market including design professionals, researchers and students, and are currently seeking a partnership with a leading international publisher.
