Helen Hamlyn Research Associates 2003

The Helen Hamlyn Research Associates 2003 are 11 new design graduates of the Royal College of Art.

They have been co-funded by the Helen Hamlyn Research Centre and a range of external industry partners to spend a year based in the RCA studio departments working on socially inclusive design projects for independent living, learning and travelling. User research is integral to each study.

The Research Associates 2003 have been drawn from seven different RCA design departments: Architecture and Interiors; Ceramics and Glass; Communication Art and Design; Design Products; Industrial Design Engineering; Interaction Design; and Vehicle Design

The projects are organised into three research narratives:
