the helen hamlyn research centre: design for our future selves the royal college of art: postgraduate art and design

Research Associates 2005

The Helen Hamlyn Research Associates 2005 are 16 new design graduates of the Royal College of Art who have participated in an industry-funded innovation programme organised by the Helen Hamlyn Research Centre.

They have been teamed with 14 external industry partners to spend a year in the RCA studios working on applied research projects from October 2004 to October 2005.

The work is organised in four research groups. Three explore inclusive design scenarios in relation to changing patterns of living, working and health provision. A fourth group looks at the innovation potential of new technologies and materials.
