Research into ageing

The only charity dedicated to understanding and challenging the diseases and disabilities which become more common in later life. Includes frequently asked questions about getting older; lifestyle and health-related issues.

Transgenerational Design Matters

A non-profit organisation that helps design, evaluate, and promote consumer products and residential environments that accommodate and appeal to people of all ages and abilities. Based in the USA.

Infoquest gerontology resources

A huge list of website resources concerning ageing and gerontology. A small description of each link allows easy selection of what you want. Is a little biased towards US and Canadian sites, but contains some useful facts and information.

The Royal Commission on Long Term Care for the Elderly

Royal Commission established to examine the options for a sustainable system of funding of long-term care for elderly people.

The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP)

One of the biggest age-related organisation in the world. Plenty of resources and information.

Gerontechnology

Europe-wide initiative to improve quality of life for older people. Emphasis is on effective integration of technology, with research into age-related issues and conditions.

RSA Student Design Awards

The premier student design competition in Europe for the past 12 years. Has a section on design for an ageing population - 'New Design for Old'.
