A large American portal to services and products for people with disabilities. Site offers peer support and disability-related news and information.

Royal National Institute for the Deaf

RNID is the largest charity representing the 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK. They aim to achieve a radically better quality of life for deaf and hard of hearing people.

Royal National Institute for the Blind

The UK's leading charity offering information, support and advice to over two million people with sight problems. They provide information and guidelines to help designers consider the needs of people with common visual impairments.

John Grooms

Founded in 1866, John Grooms is a leading UK provider of services for people with disabilities. It works with disabled people to improve quality of life choice and freedom but also to ensure that people are able to live as independently as possible.

Scope

Scope is an organisation working in England and Wales whose focus is people with cerebral palsy. Their site has an excellent FAQ and information section.

Leonard Cheshire

In the UK and internationally, Leonard Cheshire works with thousands of disabled people, helping them to live independently.

Informative site from the UK National Health Service focusing on wayfinding, concentrating on the needs of people with different abilities.

Access2go

Simple and practical information on access solutions, facilities and equipment that can be used when designing for people with disablilities.
